I’ve been a lifelong resident of Gloucester County, New Jersey and have always had a respect and love for all types of animals.

I began my career in animal care back in 1999 at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter/Control as an animal attendant. Shortly after, in 2000, I received my Animal Control Officer certification and was transferred to the division of Animal Control.

Now, in my twentieth year and after being promoted from an assistant Animal Control Officer to an Animal Control Officer, and now currently supervising part time, I encounter many younger and newer individuals starting their careers in Animal Control.

As 20 years may seem long to some, or a drop in the bucket to others, the volume of change I’ve seen within the profession that I’ve had to adjust myself, and my beliefs to are both countless, and at times extremely frustrating.

My goal as the Southern Regional Director is to help Animal Control Officers navigate around the never ending changes in our profession and its laws. And as a boots on the ground individual, support positive ideas while shedding light on ones that will hinder an Animal Control Officer’s ability to protect an animal as a first responder.
